BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort - Whitsundays

BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort If you are visiting the Whitsunday Islands, there is a good chance you won’t actually be staying on one of the islands.

Namely, the Whitsundays can be very expensive. Staying at Airlie Beach can be a good alternative but even here the hotels can seem extravagant in cost.

My family finally found a great place that fit our budget. Actually, it was quite a fabulous place! The BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday resort is a huge space with all sorts of different facilities.

There are cabins dispersed through the landscaping and an RV park a bit off to the side. The rooms are large enough for anyone’s needs and comfortable, without a lot of luxury. They do give you free milk and cookies though! What really makes the Big4 Adventure Resort different are the activities. There is a huge pool with a really big slide going into it.

They also have a mini-golf course and an outdoor cinema for kids. There is also tennis, playgrounds and some other extras to keep everyone busy.

The staff was really great and offered all the services you’d expect from a much higher priced resort. The only complaint you could make about the BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is that the location isn’t in the midst of the action.

There is a bus stop right out front and you can get to Airlie Beach in about 10 minutes.

Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory - Perth

To get to the observatory, you first walk the 1.6km jetty into the sea. It is free to go out onto the jetty and that alone is worth experiencing.

Once you are out at the end, you really feel like you are in the middle of the sea.
