 If you are looking for nice but affordable accommodation in Kosciuszko National Park, you are going to have some troubles during the ski season. A better choice is to stay in Jindabyne which is only 10 km from the park and a short drive to the main ski fields. My family and I stayed at Quality Resort Horizons in Jindabyne and were very happy with what we got (especially for the price!). The resort offers several different packages, some which include breakfast, dinner, ski equipment and lift tickets. They basically take care of everything for you and all at a pretty good deal. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was particularly large. The best part was probably the great view of the lake and mountains from our small balcony. Everything was immaculately clean, including the kitchen facilities. We actually didn’t use the kitchen at all because our package had meals included. The food wasn’t anything too exciting but it was tasty and there was enough variety that we all were happy (including our two kids). Breakfast was your typical hotel buffet while dinner was a three-course simple meal.There was a kids menu also. Some other nice things about Horizons Resort were the great pool (if you still have energy after skiing), the spa facilities, and free undercover parking.
