 My family and I camped 3 nights in Lake St Clair National Park but afterwards really needed a place to relax in comfort and have a good cooked meal. We stayed in Sheffield, which is one of the closest places to the park. It is only about an hour away and is a really nice country town with some good restaurants and attractions. We booked a family unit at the Sheffield Motor Inn and were really pleased with it. First of all, the rates are really great. They have family prices which are from $115-$180 depending on which room or apartment you take. The beds were really comfortable, the rooms pleasant and clean and very spacious. It was nice to have our own kitchen to prepare meals. Plus, they give you complimentary soft drinks in the fridge. The hosts were really the best and gave us all sorts of information. They even gave us a town map with all the murals marked on it (Sheffield is the town of murals). The food in the restaurant was delicious. Basically, we couldn’t ask for anything more and especially not at that price.
