Melbourne Australia

The Shrine Reserve is the section of parkland that sits around the Shrine of Remembrance. This corner of the larger Domain parklands is a stunning place to learn about the history of war casualties and experience that Australia has been through.

A key area for ceremonies on Anzac and Remembrance Days this is a stunning place to spend some time reflecting or enjoying an afternoon. You can see the Gallipoli memorial or the garden of appreciation as well as many plaques and acknowledgements throughout the stunning native and exotic gardens.

There are also a number of monuments and statues through the reserve that are worth looking at and learning about. The visitor’s centre in the park has a lot of information available for visitors to further understand the significance of the area and the items contained within. Opening Hours: Daylight hours

If you have never tried burek, or don't even know what it is, you are in for a treat at this place. Burek is a Serbian food that is kind of like Greek spanokopita. It is filo dough that is stuffed with (traditionally) meat or cheese.
