Kosciuszko National Park Thredbo Ski Resort Thredbo is the most popular ski field in Australia and also arguable the best. It has the longest runs and the most vertical terrain in Australia.

There are 14 lifts which go to over 50 different runs. The longest runs are just under 6 kilometers long.

This means much less time going up the ski lifts. The hardest run is Funnel Web and has parts which are nearly vertical. One of the best things about Thredbo is that there are trails for every level as well as many terrain parks. If you don’t feel like skiing, there are several great walking tracks and scenic views of Mt Kosciuszko. Nearby the ski fields is the Alpine village Thredbo.

It is modeled on an European skiing town. There are lots of shops, restaurants, facilities, and a decent night life. You might want to check out the Thredbo Leisure Center which has an Olympic-sized pool, a water slide, sport courts, physiotherapist, climbing wall and much more. Thredbo is the place to stay and ski if you want an easy, fun-filled trip.

Just keep in mind that the prices aren’t going to be cheap!
