![]() Whitsunday Islands Of all the places on the Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsunday Islands are by far the nicest. There are 74 tropical islands, most of which are completely uninhabited. The waters range in color from clear blue to turquoise shades. You can even see swirls of color in some places where the white sand and ocean water mix together. The Whitsundays are accessible from Airlie Beach and Proserpine, both worth visiting in their own right. This is where you can find many tours which will take you to the islands. Tourism is thriving for the Whitsunday Islands which means that you can find a whole range of activities, tours and services. Whether you want to get married on the beach or bring the family for a holiday, everything is here. You won’t want to miss out on Whitehaven Beach for its white silicon sands. Hook Island has an amazing underwater observatory and is one of the islands where you can camp. Hamilton Island is the largest island resort in Australia and also a setting off point for the other islands. It is almost impossible to go wrong with the Whitsunday Islands. Australia

My father,my wife and I went to the Whitsunday Islands at the end of last year and I have to say, It was just perfect.
If you plan to visit this part of our beautiful Country, I highly recommend you to go on a 3 days package on a ship called Solway Lass. It is just perfect. It will be 3 days that you and your family will never forget and if you go, say hi to the awesome crew for me: Tom, little Tom, Andy and Chris, the best crew ever. | |
